Next Steps: Getting Your Project Started
To help me get to work on your new website, please follow this checklist. Completing these items early ensures we hit our deadlines!
1. Initial Payment
- [ ] Pay the £50 Deposit: Check your inbox for the first invoice. I will begin setting up your domain and hosting as soon as this is cleared.
2. Content & Assets
- [ ] Logo Files: Please send your logo in the highest resolution possible (PNG with a transparent background is best).
- [ ] Brand Colors/Fonts: If you have specific brand guidelines, please send them over.
- [ ] The "Separate Email" Rule: For each page of your site (e.g., Home, About, Services, Contact), please send a separate email containing:
- The text you want on that page (checked for spelling).
- Any specific images you want on that page (high-res, 1000px–3000px).
- Subject Line: [Page Name] - Content for {client_company}
3. Access & Logistics
- [ ] Domain Details: If you already own your domain (e.g., through GoDaddy or 123-Reg), please send me the login details so I can link it to the new site.
- [ ] Social Media Links: Send over the URLs for your Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or Twitter pages so I can link the icons.
4. What Happens Next?
- The Foundation: Once the deposit is paid and I have your logo/initial text, I will build the "look-and-feel" draft.
- First Review: I will send you a link to a test site. This is where you use your First Free Revision to request changes.
- The Build-Out: Once the layout is approved, the second invoice (£100) is issued, and I build out the remaining pages.
- Go Live: After final tweaks and the final balance payment, we flick the switch and your site goes live!
